National Medtest Inc. has training classes for the following areas.


 

Certified Professional Collectors

DOT Regulation §40.31 states who is permitted to act as a collector in the DOT drug testing program.  Collectors are required to know basic information (Part 40 and other regulations applicable to the employers for whom they perform collections), qualification training, and initial proficiency demonstration (5 consecutive error-free mock collections).

National Medtest Inc. has personnel certified by the Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) as Certified Professional Collector Trainer (CPCT).

Breath Alcohol Technician/Calibration Technician

 DOT Regulation §40.213 states who is permitted to act as a BAT or STT in the DOT alcohol testing program.  Collectors are required to know basic information (Part 40 and other regulations applicable to the employers for whom they perform collections), qualification training, and initial proficiency demonstration (7 consecutive error-free mock collections).

National Medtest Inc. has personnel certified by Intoximeters as instructors for BATs and Calibration Technicians using the Alco-Sensor IV/RBT IV instruments. 

Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors

DOT-FMCSA regulation §382.603 states:

Each employer shall ensure that all persons designated to supervise drivers receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and receive at least an additional 60 minutes of training on controlled substances use.  The training will be used by the supervisors to determine whether reasonable suspicion exits to require a driver to undergo testing under §382.307.  The training shall include the physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of probably alcohol misuse and use of controlled substances.  recurrent training for supervisory personnel is not required.
